Adjustable Height Workbenches

Overview

Accommodate workers of different heights, on different shifts, or performing different tasks with adjustable-height workbenches from Unidex. An infinite range of height increments is available within lift strokes, and units function smoothly regardless of uneven weight distribution.

Work surfaces may be specified in a variety of sizes, materials, and styles, e.g. solid maple, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, ESD, or standard laminates. Other options include shelves, cabinets, trunnion mounts for work rotation, custom fixturing/workholding, and foot-operated controls for powered units.

MHW Series

MHW Series workbenches are self-contained lifting systems with a manually operated foot pedal and hydraulic system to lift the bench top to the desired height. Each pedal down-stroke raises the work surface approximately one inch. A toe release lever controls the rate of descent.

AHW Series

AHW Series workbenches feature an air/oil hydraulic lift system and offer instant height adjustment with the touch of a hand-operated toggle switch. An infinite range of height adjustments is available within the stroke distance. A blocking valve braking system provides firm support with no "sponginess" and protects the operator by preventing downward movement in case of air loss.

EHW Series

EHW Series workbenches are specially designed to handle heavier loads. They feature an electric hydraulic lift system and hand-operated toggle switch control.

Manipulators, Jib Arms and End Effectors

are specially designed to lift and move an object or part. The attachment of an end effector enables the manipulator to perform a specific function

Overview

For sanitary or corrosive environments, manipulators are made of stainless steel construction.

AO Series Manipulators

For effortless lifting and unobstructed reach, AO Series manipulators provide strong lifting and positioning power in compact, easy-to-operate units. Running quietly and trouble-free on shop air and a self-contained oil supply, AO Series manipulators are provided with low and high points of the lift stroke determined by your specific application requirements. Its non-electric operation is ideal for C1D1 areas.

Manually-guided articulating arms are available with radial reaches up to 96 inches. The unique linkage design allows smooth, continuous movement throughout the work area. Horizontal movement is not restricted by vertical supports, cabling, or vacuum hoses. This permits the arm to maintain the attitude of the load for reach-in or reach-under applications.

ECL Series Manipulators

Featuring fully articulating arms and end effectors, ECL Series manipulators provide increased lifting power and the capability for fine height adjustment in applications where close tolerance positioning is critical. The electrically-powered chain/sprocket drive provides lifting and lowering while the end-of-arm controls provide three-speed vertical height adjustment.

Unidex can provide jib arms for a wide range of material handling requirements. They are designed to meet specific requirements of the customer and are manufactured to the same exacting quality standards as all Unidex products.

End Effectors

Unidex can custom design manual, mechanical and powered end effectors to meet your exact positioning requirements. Custom designed engagement tooling allows for smooth, continuous movement throughout the work cycle and area.

Unidex articulating arms and end effectors feature rugged welded tubular steel construction and an attractive and durable powder coat finish. In addition, each arm is free of vertical supports, permitting the arm to maintain the load attitude for reach-in and reach-under applications.

Applications include bags, boxes, pails, drums, rolls, sheets, cabinets, frames, chassis, and other uses for lifting, rotating, pouring, or upending virtually any load. End effector styles include manual, clamp, cradle-trap, vacuum, magnetic, or other custom-designed grippers.

They make both routine and exceptional lifting and transfer operations faster and easier. Ergonomically-designed handles on all models provide comfort and facilitate ease of operation.

Unlike scissor-lift configurations, Unidex mobile workstations maintain an unobstructed area between the legs and anything attached to the carriage. This allows easy access to machinery, racks, and other immovable fixtures. Our standard models are readily adapted to meet customer requirements, including stainless steel construction for sanitary or corrosive environments.

PE Series Light Duty

The TPE Series mobile electric workstation is a telescoping version of the Unidex PE Series workstations. Specially designed to handle rolled products and materials, TPE workstations permit high lifts where access to the work area is obstructed by doorways or low overhead structures. Ergonomically-designed handles provide comfort and facilitate ease of operation.

PE Series Shaft Handling

The PE Series mobile electric workstation for shaft handling is a custom-designed unit that features a shaft head to provide ergonomic positioning and locking on the shaft end. A ratcheting, hand-operated crank enables vertical shaft tilting for smooth insertion into rolls. A quick-release pin for fast load engagement is also included. Ergonomically-designed handles provide comfort and facilitate ease of operation.
