Overview

The pneumatic Bal-Trol is more than a hoist. In addition to lifting loads, it also can balance the load. Operator fatigue is reduced by eliminating exertion due to spring tension. It also reduces costly downtime because Bal-Trol units require low maintenance. Bal-Tro pneumatic balancers contribute to reducing potential safety hazards by suspending tooling and thereby uncluttering work areas.

Models

Full Capacity - The least expensive with the fewest moving parts. Full capacity models can be special ordered with travels from 1 foot to 15 feet or more.

Control Options

Balance Control - For applications in the Process Industry, Tool Supension (staple guns, portable punches, nut runners). Balancers are intended for applications where a constant weight is supported form the load hook. Balancers give a degree of weighlessness to the suspended load. They give object mobility, minimizes operator fatigue, protects tools from being dropped and damaged.

Speed Handle - For applications such as part handling for loading and placment. This control is used for objects that are loage in size. It utilizes push button for the up and down movement. Like the Sensi-Touch®, it allows for varialbe speed. This control may be used with full capacity or modular units.

Sensi Touch - This control option is used for pick and place applications where objects need to be loaded and unloaded. Compatible with all Bal-Trol units. Activates by applying about 4 lbs. of force. Operators can adjust up and down speeds.

B - Basic no controls

BA - A Balancer equipped with the (BA)
Single Balance control is an excellent alternative to traditional spring
balancers.The balance range of a single capacity Balancer is
equivalent to that of 10 different capacity spring balancers with the
main difference being that the Balancer maintains constant tension
throughout its full range of travel.

ZA - Zimmerman balancer “ZA” series is the most common, and is designed for high speed, precision handling of variable weight loads. Up/down movement is accomplished through the use of an ergonomically designed pendant with low-effort, color coded thumb levers.
After positioning the load with the pendant control, the unit defaults into a “Float” mode that allows the operator up to 18 in (457 mm) to manually adjust the load for final positioning.
