Sink & Boxes Lifted with a VT Lifter
Featured Product:   Vacuum Tube Lifters

The Problem: Manual lifting of sinks was required to unpack shipments of sinks that were stacked together, the height of the stack being over the heads of workers. Workers found it difficult to separate the sinks and also struggled to lift the sinks that were up so high. Following the un-stacking, sinks were manually lifted into boxes, one per box, and then boxes were manually palletized. The palletizing process involved lifting the boxes to a height over their heads. Issues of worker fatigue, injury and efficiency needed to be addressed.

Alternatives: A scissor lift table embedded in floor pit was considered.

Product Chosen: Gorbel WSJ360 Work Station Jib Crane and an Anver tube lifter with an extended handle.

Benefits of the Product:
- The vacuum head attachment was designed to lift both the sinks and the boxes. The one lifter served to lift both items.
- Only one worker is needed to handle the sinks and boxes where before it took two.
- Ergonomic issues were resolved and Health & Safety concerns were addressed.
- Work efficiencies were realized.
